Esign Documents

GATHERING FEEDBACK

It'd be great if you could implement a new feature to esign documents / contracts between two parties and make them legally binding.

Hi Shawn,

Can you elaborate a bit more on what you are looking for here?

Hi Travis,

I'm looking for a feature that would enable official legally binding esignatures to be added to documents that I've created in order to skip the hassle of finding a location to print a document, then sign it by hand, then find a location to scan it into my system again. If I could keep the signature (or signing) part online via Traveling Mailbox your platform would be worth so much more to me than it already is.

Thank Shawn! I am going to look into this more and get back to you.

Shawn ... Perhaps an integration with docusign or something a long those lines?

Hi Shawn,

How would our service be used for this? Are you applying esignatures to documents that you have received in the mail or for other things?

Hi Travis,

Integration with esign companies such as DocuSign, eversign, HelloSign and Adobe Sign, etc. would be great. I use those for adding my signatures to documents as necessary. I add my signature to documents that I create and documents that are sent to me.

Hi Shawn,

What if we just added a system on our end to add a signature to a document somehow vs integrating?

That would be perfect and even more ideal than just integrating with another company. So long as the esignature follows the rules as set by the Esign Act then I'd absolutely love to see this feature on Traveling Mailbox. I don't think it's difficult to implement either.

Hi Shawn,

I think this is a great idea and I will see what we can do.

Hi Shawn,

I think this is something that we can implement. However, its going to take a little bit of discussion on our end and pricing as this will cost to maintain.

Would this be something you would be willing to pay on our Enterprise Plan?

I would use this in the same way I use the deposit check function and pay a premium on a per use basis

Hi Nicholas! Yes based on what we have seen, we are going to have to charge on a per use basis potentially. We will try to roll it in with our Enterprise plan as well.

Hi Shawn,

Is this more of a separate function from the mail receiving/scanning part? Basically an integration where you can digitally upload a document to our platform, get an esignature, and then download it from our portal or something to that effect? I am just trying to understand how we could best implement this.

Thanks

Personally I think this is getting a little beyond the scope of a mailbox. There are services to esign, you can easily do it with the Mac preview app or in windows with an app. I think the resources should be focused on something most of the users would benefit from, this seems very niche. My suggestion would be to send out an email to everyone on the mailing list once a quarter, with a list of potential features and ask them to pick their top 3 of 10 or something and whatever gets the most votes, add those features. By adding more features that appeal to many users, you would increase satisfaction, and both user-retention and new users via word of mouth.

Thank you

Hi Christopher,

This is what we are trying to accomplish with the Ideas Board. I agree after reviewing this topic it seems to be getting out of the realm of what we do here so I just wanted further clarification.

I see it exactly the same as depositing a check. Very often I get forms to sign and return. Rather than forward the form to myself or print it and re-mail it, if I could digitally append my signature and forward it on (much like what happens with checks) it would be quite helpful. However, prioritizing such a feature over something like an aggregated account view for multiple addresses is a 'no' from me. All the little upvotes should give an indication of priority though.
