Add an option to automatically forward all mail every day-week-month-quarter-year

We want all our mail to be automatically forwarded every week unless we log in and choose to recycle it before the weekly shipping date. The reason for this is that we use Travelling Mailbox as a consistent mailing address since we move offices frequently and don't want to inconvenience customers with address changes.

It's annoying to have to do this same thing every week. Would be great if we can just set a setting to have all available mail automatically forwarded to an address every Friday.

Hello,

Currently there has not been enough interest for us to code this feature. It could lead to more work done on this so if we do add it, it may have to be a feature that cost extra to have. Thoughts?

Depends on how much extra. If it was $5 per year or some nominal fee to turn it on, that's fine. But if you're trying to charge extra for every shipment, it wouldn't really make sense. This should give you guys an advantage because while sorting and scanning mail, your system would know to intercept and place certain items directly in a forwarding area. This way you don't have to have someone go get the mail and assemble it to be forwarded. This should save you guys time and cost, while making forwarding more convenient for your customers. I'm assuming that you guys currently bake in the cost of assembling and shipping a forwarding request into the cost of the forwarding request....this lets you keep that revenue without facing the majority of the cost. So it should be profitable for you even without charging a fee...

Alternatively, if the API idea (https://ideas.travelingmailbox.com/topic/enable-web-api-e-g-rest-api-to-be-used-for-your-account) gets done and includes all the endpoints necessary to create and send a shipment to an address on file, then I could see us using a Google Script to make that API call to your system the same time every week. Not as elegant, but it'll work.

Even if we have to put the items in a forwarding area, this complicates the process. Each time we touch an item, the more work goes into, the more problems that could potentially arise. We might have to consider some sort of convenience fee or put these features on certain plans such as Extended and up.

Is the API you're building going to have endpoints for forwarding a shipment?

That is beyond my scope :) ... I just believe there will be options to set your account to be able to have all mail forwarded weekly, monthly and so on.

This can get complicated to. Will all mail be forwarded from the week prior ... what is mail comes in at the last minute and so forth. So this will take some time.
